This course is designed to provide you with the basic English language tools necessary to interact effectively and calmly during an inspection at a weigh station.
At the end of this course, you will:
- Understand common questions from the DOT officer.
- Present your documents correctly.
- Respond appropriately in both compliance and violation situations.
You will learn to handle real-world scenarios, such as presenting your CDL, medical card, and logbook (ELD), describing your cargo, understanding instructions during a vehicle inspection, and responding to observations or violations. The goal is to minimize stress and facilitate clear, respectful communication.
Este curso está diseñado para proveerte de las herramientas lingüísticas básicas en inglés necesarias para interactuar de manera efectiva y calmada durante una inspección en una estación de pesaje (weigh station).
Al finalizar este curso, podrás:
- Comprender preguntas comunes del oficial DOT, presentar tus documentos correctamente y responder apropiadamente en situaciones tanto de cumplimiento, como de violación.
- Manejar escenarios reales, como presentar tu licencia CDL, tarjeta médica, registro de horas (ELD/logbook), describir tu carga, entender indicaciones durante la revisión vehicular y responder ante observaciones o infracciones, minimizando el estrés y facilitando una comunicación clara y respetuosa.
