Identify the three primary blind spots on a commercial truck before changing lanes.
-
Apply the “mirror-signal-blind spot-check-go” sequence with a 3–5 second gap rule.

-
Commit to using GOAL (Get Out And Look) at least once for every backing event longer than 20 feet.
-
Execute a safe dock approach: slow, straight, spotter, chock check.
-
Avoid trailer “walking” or unintended movement during in/out parking on slopes.
